Obituary

Marilyn Jean Kebler Weinley, age 81, went to be with our Lord on July 20, 2023, in Alexandria, Virginia. Marilyn was born on August 20, 1941, to Edna and Harold Kebler of Six Lakes, Michigan. After graduating from Lakeview High School, she attended Ferris State College and graduated with an Executive Secretary degree. Marilyn went to work at the Pentagon in Washington D.C., where she met her future husband, Richard Weinley. She was employed at the Pentagon until her retirement. On January 12, 1995, she married Richard, and they made a life together in Alexandria, Virginia.

Quilt making, crocheting, baking, tending to their dogs – Sadie and Molly, working in her flowerbeds, visiting Mount Vernon, reading, accompanying Richard on his “shoots’ and attending church in Virginia or Michigan filled her days. Twice a year she and Richard returned to Marilyn’s family’s farmhouse in Six Lakes to relax, enjoy the countryside, and visit with family and friends.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Richard Weinley; brother, Glenn (and his wife, Lucy) Kebler; sister, Donna (and her husband, Bob) Nisonger; niece, Kelli Leep; nephew; Chris Nisonger (and his wife, Tara); and grandnephew, Remington Leep.

The family will greet friends for a celebration of Marilyn’s life at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Stephen Brigham officiating. A luncheon will follow in the chapel’s banquet room.
